The energy in my writing space is imperative for my words to flow authentically. I was unable to begin writing until the space felt calm and peaceful and clear, so my thoughts and energy could flow without blocks or interruption.
I tried writing in my husband’s art studio but his studio is filled with his creative energy and I was unable to flow freely while writing at the computer. We decided to put a writing space in our bedroom.
I chose the furniture that I felt best represented the feeling of a space of transparent, calmness and feminine energy. I chose a simple white desk, with three drawers and two shelves, a matching white riser, and a feminine white tulip chair that sits just lower that my beautiful white, mirror, which gives the area a feeling of endless space, as the light from the window behind me reflects the beauty of the outside, throughout room.
The desk is adorned with two energy trees, simple white candles, in glass, wrapped with small gold wiring that lights the room with a peaceful glow, and some small green plants. My grandmother’s 80-year -old, olive green, four pane hutch sits to the right of me and fills me with the feeling of her nearness, her peace and wisdom.
My exquisite gift from Scotty.” Mossy Lady”, a painting by our lovely and talented friend Cassie King @cassieking_art, hangs just to the side of grandma’s hutch. She is a breathtaking female nude, with flow and movement, in her strength and softness. She is framed in a curved, dark wood that compliments her flowing, expressive body. She is painted in greens, black, white and the fewest splashes of orange and reds.
My strong, soft, expressive, feminine, free flowing ,Mossy Lady reminds me of all the things one can be, and all the beauty and uniqueness that makes each of us so beautiful, grace-filled, and strong.
This is my personal opinion. You may have all of it, some of it, or none of it.
