I went to the nutritionist today…

What is known as MUSCLE TESTING is done by my nutritionist. It is a form of biofeedback from the body that allows you to know what your body wants. The organs are tested to find out which ones need support and nourishment, and this also shows what supplements can be used for healing in the body.

Muscle testing might seem strange to people who do not understand or believe that their bodies can indicate them in different ways what they need or don’t. Each one chooses how they want to perceive the truth. There are so many truths.

Muscle testing is non-invasive because it helps us know what our body requires and cannot tolerate at all. It does this through muscle strength tests against a wide range of substances. Different stressor vials are used by the nutritionist/practitioner during muscle response elicitation; depending on whether client’s muscles respond with strength or weakness, this may help practitioner identify where there are stresses within the body system; hence either excluding such thing from intake or giving supplement necessary for healing it.

According to my body’s reaction during muscle testing, I realized that there was need for four additional supplements daily into my routine. Among these were some related directly with anxiety as well as gut health while others were meant to cause less anxiety but promote better sleep; one being b-12 supplement, plus lastly, an anti-judgmental thought process decelerating agent which increases brain serotonin levels, thereby reducing anxious feelings together with negative thoughts racing through mind all day long round and night too, cyclically slowing down cognitive function more especially when least expected, like now when reading this post about muscle testings, nerves, among other things, keep working even though we’ve closed eyes again.

The supplements given were mainly plant-based products containing very few artificialities, if any at all, besides being non-organic additive-free. Today marked beginning taking those pills recommended by her. My next appointment with nutritionist is scheduled for next week so that she can do another round of muscle testings to confirm whether new supplements are being responded by my body and if they’re working on areas requiring healing within me.

Protein, protein, more protein…Oh! And a fistful of vegetables!

Breakfast is not my thing. I usually just drink coffee until about noon and then eat a small plate of cheese, turkey bites, hard-boiled-eggs and the like. When I get home from work I have a small dinner and then go to bed. She told me it’s because there’s as little protein in my diet as there is right now. That’s why i’m having such bad cravings for sweets at night; my body is looking for energy!

So now I will be having a protein drink first thing in the morning, my afternoon personal charcuterie lunch, adding a fist full of raw veggies dipped in hummus to my lunch meal AND having a protein and veggie dinner. Kitchen closes at 7:00pm. Coffee, water, tea acceptable after 7:00 .

Let the games begin! Wish me luck… I’ll keep you posted.

This is my story. You can have all  of it, some of it, or none of it.
