In the beginning, walking away and quitting may seem similar but they have different connotations. Rather, it is a decision made with clarity and regard for oneself that recognizes that sometimes the most loving thing you can do for yourself is to let go and move forward.
But giving up often happens when one is in a state of defeatism, exhaustion or despair. Giving up occurs when you are overwhelmed or think you are just too weak to go on. It’s possible to feel that giving up is an abandonment out of fear rather than walking away from something important which might be regretted later for such reasons as uncertainty. However, it’s not about quitting; it’s about choosing yourself.
These are my thoughts,. You may have all of them, some of them, or none of them.
